Tuition

Equity is at the heart of our school’s mission. EVERY student deserves an excellent, inclusive education, and our tuition schedule reflects this. Tuition does not cover our annual operating expenses, as only our highest bracket is close to the true cost of a Prairie Song education. We rely on community fundraising to fill that gap each year.
Every family at Prairie Song uses the following sliding scale to determine each student’s tuition for the 2025-2026 school year:
Families are asked to commit to one semester’s tuition at a time. You agree to pay the entire semester’s tuition regardless of whether your student completes the semester, including if they enroll and never begin that semester. As a microschool, and because of our commitment to equity and maintaining our sliding tuition scale, this is necessary to ensure the school’s continued operation as we are holding a place for your student once we have offered and you have accepted enrollment. However, we only ask for a commitment to one semester at a time.

If you are able to donate to support our sliding tuition scale, please do! We are committed to accessibility and equity, ensuring that every local student who wishes to attend is able to do so. This is only possible with strong community support; over half of our students in 2024-2025 were in the “A” category of tuition on this scale. Thank you for your commitment to equity and access to Prairie Song’s unique education!
