Admissions

You’re ready to find out about our enrollment process!

How to apply for Fall 2026 admissions during rolling enrollment:

STEP 1: Fill out our online application form linked below after step 9! Please note that it must be completed all at once; there is no option to save your progress and return to it later.
We welcome applications from all students and do not discriminate on the basis of any legally-protected status. The only students not eligible for consideration of their application are any whose families have an outstanding tuition balance with Prairie Song. We prioritize enrollment for families who live within a 15-mile radius of Prairie Song in order to best serve our local community who consistently supports us!
STEP 4: We will confirm receipt of your application and your student’s educational reference via email.
STEP 5: Our admissions committee will review your application and educational reference, and contact you for any clarification necessary. We review applications only to determine if we can serve the student well; if we can, then we approve them.

As a result of being a microschool with limited resources, we do sometimes determine that we would not be able to meet a student’s needs given our current levels of staffing and the needs of students we are already serving, and thus recommend a different educational environment for them.

We accept (and celebrate!) neurodivergent students and build accommodations for them directly into our curriculum and classroom structure, but we unfortunately cannot serve students who need intensive support, as we’re not currently able to hire enough staff to support those students well.
STEP 6: If our admissions committee approves the application, we will then either offer immediate enrollment or a spot on the wait list, depending on availability. This decision will be communicated to you within two weeks of a complete application.
STEP 7: Confirm your acceptance of your student’s place in their classroom at Prairie Song or on our wait list, or reject the offer if your family determines another educational environment would better suit your student.
